Krampus – Sketches
Working out a design for the Krampus. So nice to have a spooky element for the big post-Halloween holiday.
Halloween Theme: Tomb of the Kraken
This year’s display is taking its inspiration from a midway dark ride referenced in the Goblin Circus boxcar documents. Called “Tomb of the Kraken” it was apparently a spooky undersea ride. Several props will be on display; including a Vampire Squid from Hell – Vampyroteuthis infernalis and a very cranky starfish.

Page from a sketchbook found in the boxcar. Either a preliminary design sketch of a stilt walker costume or a sketch from life of the costume itself in action. Elements of the costume were said to have been found in the boxcar, but were lost in the subsequent barn fire at the auction house.
